My dad got bleach in his eye last night. He flushed it out but I think it got in his system because he was vomiting. This morning his eye was really swollen. He didn't want to go to the doctors. Can he go blind? Whats the worst thing that can happen to him? He has been using eye drops to help the pain go down and to stop the burning.

Call his doctor without telling him. Tell them he washed it out, but it might not have worked. Most chemicals take about 10-15 minutes to wash out.. The eye tends to heal quickly on its own, but vomitting alone is a good reason to call the doc. Men never want to go to the doctor, but anything in the eye can reach the rest of his sytem through the eye duct and cause other problems.

Yikes !!! I don't know but I do know that the well being of an eye is very important, you only get 2 in life. Tell your dad to go to the hospital and get checked out better safe than sorry, the both of you will sleep better knowing that he is ok !!!!
