If your child was about to fall off a cliff, he would die, that's what God wanted, but you can use your free will to save him from dying. If you save him you went against God, for God had decided it was his time and you interfered, if you were devoted you would have let God take him and not interfere.

God does not work in that way. A child falling of a cliff is due to many situations that are already existant in the universe as the force of Gravity and the amount of tolerance human body can undertake after a fall. If you diosbey these natural laws you will be subject to them.
The sentiment that will make me save my child is love and care and that sentiment is from God, I cannot say oh it's Ok me and my wife were planning to have another child anyways!!
If I am devoted I will do the best that I can to act in Love for Human life and this is the Godly way.

Maybe, you saving the child is part of the master plan. How do you know the child dying would be what God wanted? Maybe the child would never have been put in that predicament if you weren't there.

1 Corinthians 10:13 states, "God will not test you beyond your ability to survive that test."

So this guy was i his house when he heard about a really bad storm coming. He though, no big deal, God will protect me. The evacuated his area because of the storm and he refused to go claiming god would protect him. The area ended up flooding due to the storm and he had to go up on his roof. A helicopter made it by and tried to get him out of the area. He still refused to go saying God would save him. He ended up dying in the storm. When he got to heaven, he asked god why he did not save him. God said he tried to with the warning, and the evacuation, and the helicopter but he had just refused him every time.

God would not decide to make your child fall off a cliff. If your child was in a dangerous position, your natural response would be to help your child. God would expect nothing less.

An acidemic answer for an acidemic question: Seeing as how God put me in the position to be able to save him that's what I should do. If it was truly God's plan to take the child, He would do it when saving him wouldn't be possible.

Being devoted doesn't mean you sit back and do nothing all the time. God helps those who help themselves. He gives us the means to help ourselves and He expects us to do it.

That is a hard Q. I feel I am that devoted, but the real test comes when you are actually face w/ sit.s like that. I pray that nothing will make me deny my faith, or go against God's will. I can not say honestly at this time.

any normal person would stop their child from falling off a cliff.
how do you know if you're interfering with god's will or doing god's will. i think god wants me to save/take care of my child if i can. I don't really think i am powerful enough to interfere with god's will actually. best way is to get in touch with god by lots of prayer and meditation and then one's actions will naturally be in harmony with god.

It is the story of Abraham and Issac. I would like to think that I would do as Abraham but I will probably never know. I can tell you that I willing risk my own safety for my beliefs. And, I have not helped people who needed it because I felt God leading that my help would ultimately be bad for them.

If this is your idea of what God wants, or if this is your idea of what we think about God and His will, then I'm afraid you're mistaken.
