As far as historical documentation goes, Jehoshua ben David (better known as Jesus) did not hate anyone. He was by all accounts an exeptionally peaceful man.
He certainly disliked the Romans profoundly, and he fought for years against their occupation of his homeland. But I don't think he "hated" the Romans in the sense of the word.
I do not think that he would have been much in favour of homosexual practices. We often forget that Jesus was a Jewish Prince and a Rabbi, and as such deeply ingrained in the tradition of his people.
And there is no way that any Jew of the first century could have accepted or tolerated homosexuals, who are clearly defined and condemned in several books of the Old Testament.

no, he doesn't hate them. The only thing he says is that marraige is between a man and a woman. He says nothing of civil unions or abortion for that matter. He IS a nice guy and I'm sorry if you feel christians hate homosexuals, some people just do not have an open mind. Jesus loves everyone. He made them that way and so of course he loves them!

Jesus would not hate a homosexual. He would, however, be very displeased with homosexual behavior. It would hurt his heart.
Jesus loves us all. He told us Christians to do the same. Unfortunately, people tend to make all sorts of excuses for not loving one another. Such excuses bring us attrocities like hate crimes, capital punishment, and war
One of the popular excuses for the day is to blame the government! I hear people say: ' But it is illegal! The country is at war and I must support them! The jury sentenced them to death to give closure to the family.' These are all excuses. Secular law should never dictate a retreat from Christ's teachings. These same people try to write secular laws in order to justify their hate and bigotry.
Always remember that Hitler was a duely elected Chancellor and that his orders to his troops were perfectly legal under the German laws of that time. I do not think any of his followers earned Paradise for following his orders. The same goes for the executioners, abortionists, bigots, and war-mongers of this world.
Yet, God and his son still love even them.
You have probably heard the saying: 'Hate the sin, love the sinner.' That just about sums it up. God will exact punishment for our sins, but it does not mean he does not love us. I believe he is a merciful God and that we will get by with much more than we count on, paying attonement in Purgatory rather than in Hell.
I consider homosexual behavior to be against the plan of God. I consider it to be a sin. It is, however, no worse than any other of our sins. Their crime is no worse than heterosexual promiscuity, or heterosexual co-habitation without the Sacrement of Marriage. (And, no, civil laws to allow same-sex 'marriage' do not change this.)
We need to be very careful in our lives, avoiding pointing the finger at others and comdemning them to Hell. We all sin enough to have that same finger pointed at us.
So, there you are. My take on this.
Jesus loves us all, regardless.

Jesus is not only a nice guy - He is the Son of God. Homosexuality is a sin. The Bible is very clear on that - people
sometimes interpret the Bible as it suits their lifestyles.
If people would just stop doing this - they might have all the answers that they could possibly hope for.

Jesus wouldn't hate homosexual people. Christians don't hate homosexual people either, so get your facts straight.
We oppose homosexual ACTIONS, and Jesus would too.
Under your logic, if your child does something you don't like, it means that you hate your child.
You seem incapable (or unwilling) to separate the action from the person doing it -- and you think that being against the former automatically means that one hates the latter.
Most of us Christians are easily capable of sorting out the difference -- it's too bad that so many gays and their advocates are incapable of it.

This looks like an interesting book, written by a gay Catholic professor at Yale University:
< Few books have had the social, cultural, and scholarly impact of John Boswell's "Christianity, Social Tolerance, and Homosexuality". Arguing that neither the Bible nor the Christian tradition was nearly as hostile to homoeroticism as was generally thought, its initial publication sent shock waves through university classrooms, gay communities, and religious congregations. Twenty-five years later, the aftershocks still reverberate. The Boswell Thesis brings together fifteen leading scholars at the intersection of religious and sexuality studies to comment on this book's immense impact, the endless debates it generated, and the many contributions it has made to our culture. The essays in this magnificent volume examine a variety of aspects of Boswell's interpretation of events in the development of sexuality from Classical Antiquity through the Middle Ages, including a Roman emperor's love letters to another man; suspicions of sodomy among medieval monks, knights, and crusaders; and the gender-bending visions of Christian saints and mystics. Also included are discussions of Boswell's career, including his influence among gay and lesbian Christians and his role in academic debates between essentialists and social constructionists. Elegant and thought-provoking, this collection provides a fitting twenty-fifth anniversary tribute to the incalculable influence of Christianity, Social Tolerance, and Homosexuality and its author.>

Jeremy,
Everything Jesus taught and did while He was here on earth, was based on unqualified love. None of us is without sin, yet He loves us beyond our understanding. God wants us to cease doing things that cause pain and suffering. The ten commandments is a short list of the basic rules of life in His universe. If you want to continue living after your physical body ends, you must learn to live (love) according to the principal of benign life. You must become an agent of love and peace, as He was and is. There is no room in Paradise, for people who live selfishly, caring only for the satisfaction of their carnal desires. Having said that, even if you don't make the cut, you are still loved by God. He will probably cry, as He forgets that those who rejected HIm, ever existed.

Jesus wouldn't have hated homosexuals. Modern Christianity is VERY LOOSELY based on the teachings of Jesus. Christians are ruled by fear, ignorance, and superstition... this is why they hate so many people and concepts including homosexuality.

Jesus isn't a real character..he's a fictional one and Bible scripture is a great disguise for homophobes to hide behind.
How does a person manage to be a homosexual without making homosexual actions JuliaInMiami?...as much as you'd clearly like to you can't rip the homosexuality out of a person any more than you can rip out their hearts and leave a real living person behind...
Gays are not straight people pretending to be gay and my word I certainly don't want to be a pretend straight person or a neutered celibate...
Heterosexual Christians stop recruiting, promoting and touting your heterosexuality, there are enough of you already, you are always sexually abusing gays verbally whether adults or children and trying to turn them your way. Enough of the heterosexual recruiting ...please stop

No Jesus doesn't hate homosexuals, but he doesn't like your ways. I can speak as a Christian when I say its easy for us to judge others and what they are doing cause we aint doing it. But when they hit on the things we are doing we hate it and get mad. I have so many things in my life to over come so who am I to down what you do.
