It was dropped into a pool. My husband took it apart, let it dry and not the power will only come on for an instant and then it does nothing. I don't want to pay a lot to have fixed since it is about 3 years old but would still like to try and revive!

You'll probably have to take it in to be fixed by a professional. They might not be able to fix it though, so it may be cheaper just to buy a new one. Digital cameras have really come down in price over the last couple of years, you can probably find a nicer camera for the same price that you paid for that one. Or the same quality for a lot less.
Next time you drop something electronic in water, seal it in a ziplock bag with a cup of rice. Let sit for 24 hours. The rice absorbs the water without damaging the sensitive parts.

attempt replacing battery cellular extra then likely that's purely that the potential cellular became discharged and being submerged in water ought to shrink to rubble the chemistry contained in the cellular, if that would not artwork attempt finding out with a volt meter each and each and every solder aspect on the circuit board after battery connection u likely have a short in spite of the actual incontrovertible truth that a short will be kinda expensive because that's not surely replaced without device precision soldering

Probably CANNOT fix it. It's not good for electronics to even get a drop of water on them so being dropped in a swimming pool probably ruined it.

Simple, you fix it by taking it to the store where you initially bought it .
