she can no longer walk, she has had low blood sugar, communication at times is very hard for her

Talk to her doctor ASAP. There are side-effects associated with the elderly.

I was on that drug and it gave me bad symptoms also. My tongue twitched so bad people could hardly understand what I was saying plus I shook real bad all over. There is a class action lawsuit against this drug so I would talk to her Dr. about getting her off. It is advertised on tv and in a lot of magazines. It mentions causing the same symptoms you mentioned and I had. I can't be in the lawsuit because I got off of it quickly and fortunatly the symptoms finally went away. I had to see a specialist who thought the symptoms would be permananent plus get worse. Good luck and I hope you get your mother off this bad drug quickly!!!! I'm 44 and thought life was over
