Probably they just want to see what others will come up with. Not everyone has equal researching skills. Others might come up with sources you'd not have found. I do hope this isn't the end of the research project if it's regarding something the asker really DOES want to know about. Still, it's kind of disturbing to me when the answer someone gives is "try google".
