The strategic role and activity of angels in the life of a believer:
1. Angels are assigned to every believer - Matt 18:10
2. Angels minister to and serve us - Heb 1:14
3. Angels encamp around us and guard us - Ps 34:7; Ps 91:11
5. Angels fight for us - Elijah and Elisha 2 Kings 6:15-17
Some of the things they do.......

I'm glad you are willing to ask questions because that is one way of growing in your walk with God. When you get a chance, take a look at www.biblegateway.org. This is a great website where you can read many different versions of the Bible online or even search for certain terms. In this case I selected The Message paraphrase of the Bible, since it puts the Bible into modern context. I found this chapter, and recommend that you read this short passage to get teh full meaning. It doesn't mean to go out and do any stupid thing and expect protection, but it does mean that God has sent angels to watch over and help you!
Blessings!
Psalm 91:10-15 (The Message)
The Message (MSG)
Psalm 91
1-13You who sit down in the High God's presence, spend the night in Shaddai's shadow,
Say this: "God, you're my refuge.
I trust in you and I'm safe!"
That's right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
under them you're perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You'll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God's your refuge,
the High God your very own home,
Evil can't get close to you,
harm can't get through the door.
He ordered his angels
to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they'll catch you;
their job is to keep you from falling.
You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
and kick young lions and serpents from the path.
14-16 "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God,
"I'll get you out of any trouble.
I'll give you the best of care
if you'll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times;
I'll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I'll give you a long life,
give you a long drink of salvation!"

In Matt 18:10 Jesus indicated that children have angels watching over them. The implication may be that adults also do.

Hi,,,, there is nothing in the Bible saying about angels watching over us.. but,,, it is true....
I had an experience severa years ago,, involving a car wreck... and I did Not have my seatbelt on.... right before it happened.... for some unknown reason.. I put my belt on........(I use to never wear it)....
After the wreck,,, I looked down and said... (wow,, I have my seat belt on) .... it was no coincidence.....
Good Luck....

Kharas3ah has the answer. As I wrote in another answer, We sometimes encounter angels and don't even know it. I can think about Abram and Lot when angels visited and even ate with them. Keep asking these good questions.

I know there is a greater power watching over me. With all the dumb things I have done, I should be dead if it weren't for Heavenly intervention.
