I mean do you purposefully start a fight with us just to see what happens and how we handle it?

i think it's a sub-conscious thing for most women, but i do see that happening in my life at times. it's not a game with me...i just do it. it's like an addiction or something. i feel for men. i really do.

No, we voice our opinions and men usually get their feelings hurt...that's when the fight ensues. Men typically don't know what to do for their women, not that the women know either... but they feel like they will know when they see it. For me, I need constant attention. My husband works constantly and I'm alone alot... that leaves me all sorts of time to think of something to say or thoughts that have hurt my feelings. It isn't that we want you to be mad.... It's that we want you to do something to make it better. Oh, how I wish my husband would call me from work or come home on time just one ****** time. But no matter how upset I get he wont do these things.
You should listen to your girl when she's "testing" you.... listen to find out what it is exactly that she's wanting you to do to make it better. Best wishes

I don't like fighting. If it can be avoided I will take that route instead unless the subject really needs to come out on the table. But I will admit I like a good debate (which isn't a fight) with anyone really like: politics, religion, child care, abortions, death penalty, etc...

Well, it is a toughie, it is not that all women are as you have asked but it's like a second nature to women.
I think it is the attention required or the genes as it always suprises me that we have the last word and anything after that is the start of new argument.
maybe we wan to make a point

Some women do, some don't. They're usually trying to get a point across, and sometimes the men don't want to listen. So that's when arguments arise.
