Do to your local Health and Human Services office and see if you qualify for any assistance. Here is the state of Texas's Health and Human Services website--http://www.hhsc.state.tx.us/

Apply for medicaid health insurance for you baby at your local DCF they also offer foodstamps and cash assistance depending on your income also you can get WIC checks that supply milk and jusice, eggs, cereal for children under 5 and formula for babys up to a year. You say you are a single mom file for child support from the daddy. Also you could be eligible for AFDC checks (aid for dependent children) and some states also have programs that help pay for day care or help with utility bills

try social services! Bring everything! Bank statements, pay stubs, overdue bills, ID, social security card, etc. Call the local office and see what time it opens- be there first thing in the morning! They will help you.
