Use antispyware programs, such as Adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) and Spybot Search and Destroy (http://security.kolla.dee) to remove spyware. Both of these programs are free.
When downloading, you are receiving the core programs. This means that you must then check for any updates. Check regularly for updates.
Note: Spy Wiper and Spy Deleter are programs advertised to remove spyware—instead they place spyware into your computer.
