I wanted to be a nun in the past but that didnt work for me. I've met someone I'd like to marry, but I still want to be involved in the Missions. Is there any active mission a married person could join and what are the sites?

Sure, their are many opportunities for married people to become involved in many of the same work that relgious do. One option would be to contact a community of religious, possibly even the one that you considered joining, and ask them if they could use any voluteers. More than likely they would be more than willing to accept help with whatever work they do.

Also, there are many organizations for lay people to get involved with. I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but organizations such as Catholic Charities and any of the pro-life orgainizations are always in need of volunteers. Their mission is to provide protection and support to the very weakest of the population whether that is as a result of poverty or disaster, or of simply not being born yet.

Finally, there are groups of lay people that are associated with the Franciscans, Camalites, or Opus Dei, that enable lay people to engage in some of the activites or relgious while still being married.

I am by no means an expert on this, so for more information, I would suggest you go to a great Catholic forum that I frequent myself, and pose your question there. The website is www.phatmass.com. To get straight to the forum without having to search for it, you could also go to http://phorum.phatmass.com. It is a great site and you could get a variety of very good and well informed answers to your question.

Good Luck,
Anna

That's right. With the Franciscans and other religious orders, you can become Third Order members.

Third Order members don't need to profess chastity, but in most other ways, they live by the rule of the wider Order -- they follow the same prayer life and live by the same spirit of poverty and obedience, and so on.

The best place to start is with your Diocese Missions office. For example, our Diocese has a mission of accompaniment with the Binga people of Zimbabwe.

That means we send a steady stream of trained people to thei village. It is really very awesome. We have a lot of clergy, religious and lay people who have been there, and the support we are able to give because of it is incredible.

Is your fiance going with you?

this is not actual. All sexual positions, as long as they might bring about a existence being created, are allowed. In different words, as long because of the fact the penis is inserted interior the vagina, this is proper. i'm not Catholic, yet i understand that lots.
