I have heard a similar sounding name used between Indian women but I don`t know how they might spell it. The Irish name is spelled Sheila or in Gaelic form Sile with an accent over the i.

That is definitely an Irish name. It has Gaelic origins. I would know. It's my name. If you look it up in a book of names, it usually means 'musical one'.
