Honestly...No; But His teaching, at least some, and the main (fraternal love is first) are right, I do believe this. So as a teacher, or social reformer, he is good- but, no I don't think he's the son of God, and I don't agree with everything he teaches, only with the main of them... I don't believe he is the son of God because his story and mission, have inherent contradictions ( to us is like "Your father love you, but he will burn you in hell forever" for example;NOTE: Next statements are not exact quotations of the gospels, but only an invented sentence that doesn't alter his teachings and at the sametime summarize the main idea in that statement- And I learned them message thru both catholics priest and religious non catholics- Other Example.. "I didn't came to give you peace, but sword...etc."- take for example how he said don't you worry about food or water...etc...aren't you more than birds"... But in this world little kids die without food and water- aren't they more than birds? Then don't let them alone...Take the food from the greedy and love your child- feed him... Or when he said anything you ask in my name to my father he'll give you just have faith"- I have a rather sad expierencie with that type of expectations, not only beacause he didn't gave me what I want, but because I have seen very good people with enourmous faith having to taste an ironical not-fair fate and then justifying why Jesus didn't answer- what's sad is that they lose freedom and suffer because of that religion, but they are afraid of something that never answer or never listen- maybe because he's not there, maybe because he's not what he said he was- I do thank God however , because I believe in God, but not in religion.; There is more that I could tell you, but I believe that issue needs a bigger forum with much more time, and more resources; Nice question thought; It make's you think beyond...

I believe there was a person named Jesus. History shows that.

Get the DVD "The God Who Wasn't There" if you're brave enough to take the test.
No, I don't believe in Jesus, I don't even believe he was a real life character but merely a fictional one.

I believe in Jesus but not as a divine being. I believe he was a great man and leader. Can't go completely by the Bible either since it contains many inconsistencies, fallacies, and contradictions.

I did--then I didn't--then I did. I mean, I have changed my views about him, I don't believe the New Testament necessarily represents him the way he would have wanted, but I don't use that as an excuse not be believe he is divine.

In other words, if I take out the petty religious stuff, he looks like pure love and light to me.

Greetings of Peace. I do believe in all the prophets in the Abrahamic line, and in other prophets in other lines (peace be upon all of them). There is great wisdom, compassion, and beauty in all of them.

Jesus (peace be upon him) is one of the major prophets in the Islamic tradition. He is mentioned numerous times in the Quran, as well as the virgin birth and Mary's devotion to God.

As a Muslim, I do not see Jesus exactly the same way that Christians do but respect him and his teachings very much. He is given a high station in Islam, being called "Ruh Allah" which means "Spirit of God" or "Breath of God" just as Abraham (peace be upon him) is called "Wali Allah" meaning "Friend of God". Jesus was also one of the prophets that Muhammad (peace be upon him) met during his night journey through the planes of heaven.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

Yes. I believe He existed in history, because we have documents pointing to His existence and actions at that time. I believe He is the Saviour of the world, the Christ, because He fulfilled all of the prophecies made about Him. I believe He is my Saviour, because He has touched my life and changed it.

Jesus is the only way to God the Father.

Yes. For the simple reason that he has done so much in my life and the Bible is so clear in proving that he is there, and he is judging all of us. Jesus Christ is Lord.
