Sure! The guy studied and practiced and passed the exams. Anyhow, any doctor could have all that and just have them discretely placed. Just because he likes a little fray in his world, who am I to judge and mistrust. Just give me muh meds and have a good day.

I do not believe you'll find many of those around. My husband who's in the medical field was told by his superiors at a meeting to please be sure to take out any piercings and cover up or remove any visible tattoos. In a professional field one must be ready to have the look of a professional, they said. I rather agree with that.
In my teaching profession, I've seen many parents steer clear of the teachers who do not have the "look" they're searching for. The military also subscribes to that belief. New recruits, when chosen, cannot have more than a certain number of tattoos. Although many insist on the fact that it doesn't counteract with their knowledge, it is certainly still taboo to have tattoos or piercings in professional fields.
While I am sure the doctor would be as knowledgeable as other doctors, his commitment to the field or professional level may not be there, so in fact, no I would not visit a doctor with as many tattoos or piercings.

As you know, there is a new generation of people entering the professional world. These are people who have grown up in a society where tattoos and piercings were acceptable and showed individuality. Just because they have perhaps become a doctor or a lawyer or a dentist does not mean that they have to sell out, remove their piercings, and erase the tattoos.
You should ask yourself how comfortable you are with this person treating you medically and base your decision on that and not on outward appearances.
After all...when we are 85, there will be a lot of saggy tattoos around, and that's okay because everybody will have them!

its probably a 10-30 year old crowd on here, so youre going to get a larger proportion of people who say yes than the general population because younger people are more accepting of this kind of stuff. older people (the ones who see the doc the most) would say HELL NO at very high rate. personally im a no too, its really unprofessional to have a bunch of visible tattoos and piercings even if he is good or not.

Tattoo and body peircings do not mean the person is not smart or very good at what they do.
It does mean that they felt is was ok for them to adorne their body in a way they are comfotable with.
I think it is fine and would use a doctor who had them. Tells me that the person is comfortable ith their body and lifestyle.

Yes, why not. In my opinion everyone was young once. Childhood immaturities make us who we are in later years. Tattoos and peircings are nothing compared to medical training.

If he's hot! Seriously, check the credentials of any doc you aren't sure of. Your local state online website should have a listing of credentialed docs.
