The inside is the best part, but where would orange marmalade be without the peel? The peel is also very good if you make a zest out of it. lots of baking recipes call for it. Also, if you have bursitis in one of your joints, eating the white part of the peel can help relieve the pain of that , ( if you eat it regularly. )

The orange peels are necessary for some recipes, as flavoring, or sometimes when making orange jam the peel is needed. I don't eat them as a rule, and only grate some when needed.

you can eat both the inside & peel but i think the peel has a bitter taste to it but it's up to the person thats eating the orange

I eat only the flesh of the peel, and put the rest on the table (or heater in winter) to hav a nice orange scent at my home.

Wash the orange very well. Thinly slice the peel off, boil in water with a couple of spoonfuls of sugar or honey, then cool. You have home-made orange juice. (Using only the slither of peel/water/sugar or honey)
