this is a very common problem, you have two options
1.you seem to have a display problem due to some kind of bug,so this is what you should do,firstly uninstall your exisiting display driver, ati have a driver removal tool in add\remove programs and nvidia you should look for "nvidia display driver"
2.you should then re-install your display drivers, this may seem a bit weird, but by uninstalling the old ones we have hopefully taken out the bug during uninstallation, you should really download the display drivers before you uninstall the drivers, for ati go to https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27,and for nvidia go to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp.
there is one final thing to do,go to start>control panel>system properties>advanced>start up and recovery.where it says automatically restart>untick this box>and press apply
you will be best printing this answer out so you can have it mext to you while doing the drivers
good luck
any probs just let me know,i enjoy answering them

A serious answer!

Could be the graphix card or another program that is cinflicting with it -

Firstly turn down your hardware acceleration - right click on the desktop select properties - then settings - then advanced - click trouble shoot and then turn the hard ware accelration down - try the game now

Find out which graphix card you have a visit their homepage and download the lastest drivers for your card

Also get the latest directx from microsoft.com

Still having problems - right click on my computer and select properties - then advanced - select the option under performance click the settings and uncheck the box for automatic restart > now when the computer shuts down it should give you a error page - this page should have a stop code on it this can give clues

also check out the event viewer under system and application this can give clues

also uninstall the graphix card along with the ide controllers

the last two can be tricky to do if you need any clarification you can instant message me - find it under my profile

hope this helps

Without being more specific, I can only presume your graphics card is not dealing with the extra processing required to run in fullscreen mode.

I SINCERELY WOULDN'T ADVISE YOU TO RUN THAT PROGRAM AT ALL, IF IT RE-BOOTS YOUR COMPUTER; BECAUSE, [A] IT COULD BE AN INFECTED PROGRAM WHICH WILL CORRUPT YOUR COMPUTER OR [B] IT COULD BE CARRYING VIRUSES THAT WILL DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER OR [C] IT USES UP TOO MANY RESOURCES OF YOUR COMPUTER WHICH COULD DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER.

In all the cases, it is harmful to your computer.
