My cat did that too. The vet says it could be an allergic reaction to fleas and their droppings. It is important to keep him flea-free at all times. Another thing he said was that the cat's immune system is not functioning properly. I've been giving him a little bit of colostrum, brewer's yeast and aloe vera every day. It seems to help.

This can also be a problem caused by vaccinations. See the University of Illinois weblinks
www.cvm.uiuc.edu/petcolumns/showarticle_pf.cfm?id=287
www.cvm.uiuc.edu/ope/ivb/feline.htm
And do some research on the net about it. Vaccines are good for many many years.
There is a lot you should know about vaccines..See this weblink also

This site was discussed by the Texas A & M Roundtable of Vet not too long ago.

It may or may not be a food allergy. I had a cat that ripped her fur out if even 1 flea got on her. If she wont eat linatone, there is a salmon oil on the market. I forget the name. Also try fiving her a greasy fried egg a couple times a week. Wont hurt her unless she starts to gain weight.

My cat (who died from old age those days) did this in the course of the later years of his existence. i'd discover clumps of hair throughout my domicile. The vet did not have an answer, (it deff. become not flees), he had a low immune equipment although. i in my opinion sense it become his moist nutrition. He become unable to chunk or save problematic nutrition down at an older age so regrettably there wasn't a lot i might want to do yet attempt diverse manufacturers.

my cat does this too.... year round, she is an inside cat, and if a flea gets on her, she goes nuts, now she is under my bed, will not come out but every few days, get a drink little food, and bathroom, in the fall and winter she acts halway normal, i think mine started after i put the vets flea medicine on her, i will NEVER put it back on her, i did for a few months, and then next season also, but i believe the advantage and frontline is what caused her to be like this....
