Religious folks will sometimes try to justify even this most appalling crime by arguing that paedophiles must have the freedom to rape, torture and kill children because otherwise we wouldn't be able to fully exercise our free will, and their deity supposedly values free will above all other things, even the unimaginable suffering of children who die in agony and terror.

However, in (supposedly) preserving the free will of paedophiles, their god is allowing them to deprive the children of *their* free will. Why, then, does their god value the free will of paedophiles more highly than that of innocent children?

Isn't it the case that in reality, a loving and benevolent god is simply incompatible with a world in which these appalling crimes can be committed unhindered, any arguments about free will notwithstanding?

Yes.

But there's no convincing them of that.

Bitterness and hatred can blind you....

I don't know what God you are talking about but the only kind of God that would want such things to happen are the one that the satanists worship. And the only kind of people I can think of who would consider the rights of the pedophilers over the victims I think would be liberalists...........
I was born a christian and still am a christian for almost 50 years, but I would cut off the balls of a pedophiler or murderer that would hurt my children or any other children if I was given the opportunity.

I'm sorry you have so much bitterness and hatred but it has nothing to do with God.

Hope you can find some help for your misguided feelings.

No I did not forget to answer your question... it has nothing to do with God... is the answer. How many God's do you think was present in the garden of Eden? There was others present besides God almighty.... but people seem to forget the existence of the other gods who masquerade as God almighty.

But as I said before, I really do hope you find help in what you are seeking. I wish you well.

It would seem that your "beef" is really with the existence of the Christian God, or perhaps with the acceptance of the Christian God as loving and caring, when the world around us is so hurtful. If "God is Love", and "God created the world", then why is the world not a loving place?

The real problem is that God is not the only force at work in this creation. You seem to leave that out of the equation....why?

I take offense at your paragraph starting with "Religious folks will...justify". To explain the existance and working out of free will (as a concept) does NOT justify the abuse of that will or that freedom. Do human beings have a free will? YES. If humans FREELY CHOOSE to do evil with that free will, then God is not to blame for the corrupt choices of another. Humans need to embrace the other side of the "free will" coin: responsibility.

Freedom is responsibility.

Those who want to trash free will are really trying to escape responsibility for their actions. That action is as old as humanity itself! See Genesis 2 for that story.

You made the statement that "god deprives the children of *their* freewill"
Lets look at it this way there are only three choices.
God ether gives all mankind free will or God gives select people free will or God gives no one free will.

The only logical choice is free will to all. God has set up a legal system to deal with those perverts.
God has also promised to make things right in the end for ALL children who are the victims of violence (Abortion, murder, etc.)

The Creator is in control of everything, good, bad or indifferent. Nothing can happen unless by HIS will. Pedaphiles exist because YOU want them to exist. They exist because mankind strayed from GOD and chose error instead of guidance. GOD created us to submit to HIM. When we submit to our desires, don't blame GOD when the consequences are bad. Society today as a whole, promotes women dressing anyway they want to, and they teach their children to parade in the presence of men scantilly dressed. Men salivate when they see women dressed in a lascivious manner and it provokes all kinds of evil thoughts that lead to corrupt acts. The free mixing of men and women, premarital sex, the acceptance of homosexuality all contribute to the formulation of evils thoughts and actions.

Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and if you have any wisdom, you would understand that GOD'S power is more than any of us will ever understand...hence all the more reason to submit to it and live according to HIS commands and orders. Following HIS commands and orders protect us from HIS wrath. GOD allows what HE allows and it is not yours to question THE POWER OF GOD. When unfortunate things happen to children, naturally it makes us feel terrible. It has nothing to do with what GOD values...GOD created life and he can destroy it any way HE wills. The real deal is where will you go after death?

God seems to get the blame for every sick and twisted thing that man does. Well it is not God it is the devil.

Anyont who turns to God he can see them through such hard times as He has done for me. God can change anyone and God can forgive anyone who truely repents too.
God can heal anyones hurts and God can deliver anyone from a situation if you ask Him to come into the situation (i have).
Its all about faith.

God will have His vengence on the unrepentant for their evil ways.
God is not the one who passes the sentences man does.

Man has alot to answer for.
