My daughter moved out when she was about that age, so I know how you feel, she was the youngest, so the nest is empty now. Very quite around here now. But, she will come around and visit you, my daughter does all the time. I know that you feel very empty right now probably, but once you get use to the ideal that she has moved out you will feel better I promise you. Don't get me wrong, I do miss my daughter a lot. But she does either call or come over a lot.

Hopefully she is mature enough to take this step. Also she need to be employed so she can handle her expenses. Of course you can help her, but you must advise her of the many responsibilities that comes along with the territory. Give her all the moral support you can and make it your business to let her know you are there for her. You both need to sit and talk and make a pact that hopefully will help the both of you through this. Love, understanding and patience is the key here.

There comes a time when the young birds want to sprout their wings and fly. I hope she has the means of supporting herself, or will mama and daddy pay for the apartment, food, clothes, etc?
Some of these kids do not figure on such things as living expenses. Many of them don't even have a job or one lined up to support themselves. It is marvelous to be young but unfortunately the quest for freedom doesn't necessarily mean that the brain is developed to be free.
