I dont understand why this is a controversy. How can you tell people to follow Christ and God's word and embrace a lifestyle opposite of God's word at the same time.

That would be like someone wanting to be a math teacher but supporting the idea that 2 + 2 = 5

I agree.

Homosexuality is stated as an obomination before God in the Holy Bible.

I think that group tries to contort the notion of "God is love...and He loves everyone...even gays." I believe that God does love us all, while we are sinners - and homosexuality is a sin. But do not twist the notion of love...while He loves us, He hates sin. Sin keeps us seperated from God. Without repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He will throw the unbelievers into the lake of fire forever -- the second death (Rev. 20-21).

To have faith in Jesus is inconsistent with a gay lifestyle...and I do not care whether its genetic, predisposed, or just a choice. God never said repentance would be easy...but He did say that with faith He will get us through anything.

Well it really is no different than a straight man saying that he has been born again and still foricates with every woman he meets are greets, Not diffrent than a man who knows the marring someone that is devorice is sin in God's eyes and does it anyway, because he says that was under the old testiment Law.
When you except Jesus into your heart there has to be a change.
Now you are still going to carry some of this bagage with you even after your born again. But here's the thing you aventually live it at the Cross because you know that it is not pleasing to God.
Now to answer your question on way the contravercy is and unrepentant heart ore they just don't want to let go of the past.
Now if you know someone in this postion here is what you do.
!. Pray for them that God show them the arrow of the way.
2.Go and talk to them about what they are doing and tell them to be turely save the need to put away the old deeds of the flesh and walk in the new life that God has provided. Cercumzie the heart. Pray with them.
3. If they will not except what you have told them take them before the church in private less your own sins be revealed, be very careful how you do this. even though they are wrong.
4. Then after all of this if they will not change put distance between you and them have nothing to do with them best friends or not.
5. Never stop praying for them and lefting them up in your prayers keeping your own heart cercumsized before God.
Remember God knows the seceret sins of the heart don't be so quick to judge what someone else is still doing until you have taking care of the seceret sin that you may or may not be doing.
Above all things pray from them.

Christians believe that Jesus died for their sins, therefore whatever they do is forgiven. Christians actually believe they are children of GOD and that God loves them inspite of their actions. They believe further that they will be saved by grace alone and no matter what they do, they will be saved by grace.

This misplaced belief is the reason that christianity and homosexuality have an affinity with each other. The book they (christians)read states that homosexuality is an abomination and the punishment for this abomination is death.

Man's law protect homosexuals...therefore there must be something wrong with GOD's law or perhaps GOD made a mistake or maybe some homophobic individual translated the original text of the Bible from a biased perspective.

Can you imagine a ****** approaching Prophet Jesus and Jesus bending over(forgive me for this analogy)...but this shows the assininity of the position of a so-called God-fearing person accepting homosexuality as a life-style ordained by the Creator.

Well- someone could be a math teacher and be a BAD math teacher. They wouldn't get tenure, though.

Christianity is for sinners- people forget that. A gay person (or an obese person, or a thief, or a liar, or an adulterer, or a murderer, etc) who comes to church and says that what they do is not sin, and that it's all OK will have no tenure in heaven.
But the gay (or other pet sin) christian who has a humble heart and knows they sin and are weak and keep sinning and they know that they offend God- we will see that person in Heaven because God is merciful!

This is for Ginza. ARE YOU NUTS. If you are Christain then you are saying that you follow the word of the Bible and it's principals. Homosexuality is a sin spelled out in the Bible. Now you can try to tell me that it is not their fault that its just the way they are made. Now check this out God made men with the desire to spread his seed as far as he can {King Solomon had hundreds of wives and thousands pf concubines} however we are ordered by the scripture to curb our appetites and remain faithful to one wife now if it is OK to be gay then it is OK for a man to cheat because that is the way he was made. People like you who pick and choose what to believe from the Bible are no better than the slave owners back in the day who did the same thing. This is for the rest of you. If you say you are a Christan act like it read your bible and know what you are talking about if you are not a Christan then maybe you should do your research before trying to say the Bible is outdated and always remember like it or not this country was built on the rock of Christan principals {I am not talking about the idea of democracy or republic these were Greek ideas} but the laws and the morals are basically Christan. In Closing If you say you are Christan then act like don't try and act like your something your not

I think that it is terrible that Christians are judging a group of people because they think that the gay lifestyle is wrong. Remember the bible was written about 2 thousand years ago. A lot that it says is not true today. I still call myself a Christian but I choose not to judge a group of people based on their life choices.

Since Jesus Christ (remember where that "christ'ian word comes from?) didn't spew hate toward homosexuals or others, many follow his teachings instead of the bull in the rest of that book called the bible. If you are following the OT and the words of any other 'prophet' besides Jesus, you are the non-Christian one.

Pro-gay Christian believes that God loves all people including gays. Besides there are no concrete evidences from the bible that says same-sex relationship is prohibited or a sin. Pro-gay Christian includes spiritual gays that believe in a God. I believe they are the one who grow-up with christian upbringing. They know God is real and loves them just the way they are.

'Supporting the idea that 2 + 2 = 5' doesn't allow people to live their lives the way they were created without fear of persecution.

What's the point of intolerance? The day I'll understand that is the day I'll be willing to accept Christianity.

You absolutely CANNOT tell someone to embrace Christianity without embracing the laws set forth. Homo is NOT acceptable Christian lifestyle, same as prostitute, adultery, alcoholism, etc.-refer to specific scriptures in a good study Bible.
