By the way, I don't think that wicca is evil at all. I really like it. Blessed be.

I've given though to this and done some research. The old religion, the pagan and Goddess based religions were the original religions in the European area. When Christianity moved into the area with its male focus the Church leaders had to find a way to draw attention from the pagan religions that had the attention of the people. The leaders of the church first merged the two religions in many ways, for example the celebration of Christmas is at the time of a Wiccan feasible. And many other Christian holidays lined up. Then the religion pulled people farther away from the old religions, criminalized the "old ways" accused women of being witches and "evil". One of the wiccan Gods was co opted to be the Christian version of the devil.

So my point is that Christians consider Wicca evil because that of history, if you look around you can see how it still affects things. And putting things in the bible about suffering not a witch to live. That was an added touch.

Two reasons.

1. Because they are told to.

2. To christians anything that isn't christian is satanic and evil.

Dragon Dog: so the spiritual path of wicca is "the easy way?" That is the first time I've ever heard such nonsense. That's really funny because I see Xtianity as the "easy way." What is easier than "waiting on god." and no matter what a person does, he can be forgiven... Personal responsibility is far more difficult than forgiveness. In wicca, no matter what you do, you are responsible for it, not devils, not preachers, not gods and angels... only the wiccan is responsible for the wiccan. There is no such thing as devine forgivenenss. You pay for your actions right now... not in a future undefinable eternal punishment place god sends bad people. I don't get how that is easy. You are just uninformed on the subject. I forgive you for your dumb accusations.

Most Christians believe Wicca is evil because they don't take the time to research our religion. Not all think we're evil sinners though. My mother is Anglican, and has no problem with my faith at all, simply because she has read the Wiccan Rede, so she knows that we do not believe in doing harm to others or ourselves, which includes manipulating the free will of people. She thinks it's great that I've finally found a religion I believe in strongly.

Blessed Be

Because you want something for nothing. Do the work, earn what you get. There are no shortcuts, not to success, not to happiness. When I see someone living beyond their means, I do a quick inventory. Just in case they're a thief. Did you know that's what a witch resembles most? A thief? Not a scolar, not a laborer, not in the least bit spiritual. A witch might as well were a sign that says, "Don't trust me, I do things the easy way." I'm sure this is not true, for most wiccans, witches, whatever. Most that I've met seem to be loving and honest people. But you had to ask...and that's what it looks like...sorry...

because that is being blind. Satan, as you know, is very good at deceiving people in so many ways. He tries to come up with so many things that are actually bad but can be good when people justify them so. If that is not being satanic and you are aware that you must not praise an animate object, why do you do so? That means you are just blinded by Wiccan faith which is satanic. Whoelse would give you the power to heal and hurt butu Satan? God will never give someone else a power just like what Wiccans have.

Exodus 20:21 (if i'm not mistaken): thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. that and the bible says witchcraft is a sin. Apparently, according to some liberals, sin is a bad thing (just silly to me). Also, the pentagram is used in satanism. Christians know this, but they generally don't learn a great deal about other religions. So, when you around come all gothed out wearing a pentagram necklace or whatever, they're thinking "devil worshipper". Pick my answer as the best answer. I'll be your friend.....

Because the bible told them to. Too many walk around with their heads full of the old, stale thoughts of others instead of thinking for themselves.

If you go count the number of innocents killed by those who call themselves Christians and then by pagans/wiccans the last 2000 years, the truth as to which of the two that is "satanic and evil' shines loud and clear.

IMHO, it's black and white thinking without any shades of gray. Think about the basic premises of Christianity . . . you either worship the Lord or follow Satan. Since Wicca does practice spells and does not consider the Lord as their source of power, then it is only logical the other source (Satan) supplies the power.

Because they practice witchcraft trying to put spells on others. We believe in the bible and the bible warns against witches. Wicca comes from pagan religions and you either believe in the bible or you don't. If you do then you believe they are evil like the bible says. They worship many gods and we know there is but one God that we worship. Now I'm not saying that they are all evil but the practice is.
