I've often wondered about that. I mean, granted there's a lot of going forth and multiplying going on in the Old Testament (I know, not Christians), and a fair amount of begetting too. And I understand the concept of the marriage bed being sacred and "unsullied" - interesting word, but get where you're coming from (no particular pun intended).

But what's always made me wonder is whether "committed" Christians actually have GOOD sex? Y'know, rampant, sweaty, screaming-down-the-walls sex? Because surely, even with one's husband or wife, sex in the Christian scheme of things is deemed to be for tightening the bonds of love or producing children, isn't it? By all means, correct me if I'm wrong here. Sooo...if you just take your partner to bed for the sheer joy of having sex, isn't that tantamount to the sin of lust, and if so, how do you let go?

God WANTS people to be saved!! He he forbid sex heaven would be an empty place! Now I know Paul was a short fat bald arrogant celibate capitalist tent maker, but he was really a pretty good guy in that he always made provisions in his letters for those of us who are weak. As far as sex goes, Paul said that we are SEX SLAVES!!! Pretty kinky stuff, huh? He said the husband does not have authority over his own body but his wife does, and the other way around too! And he said that we are NOT to deprive eachother of sex either. Not only can the christian have sex- WE MUST HAVE SEX!!! Buy yourself a Bible and start reading it. God knows us pretty good (He made us) and He knows what we need!

Yes, his name was Jesus. Your use of the word 'liberal' is trite and relative. "(most people know that)" ad populum is a logical fallacy. Between logical errors, poor grammar, and colloquialisms, your question makes no sense. You are 'pretty' for Xians? I can't even figure out what you were trying to say. The teachings of Xianity are radically liberal. Radical conservatives tend be Xian, and Xianity is bound together with the conservative movement (Evangelical mobilization via Neo-Conservative platform). Rhetoric, dogma, and practice are totally separate things. Haven't you ever heard of Xianity as a philosophical basis for Socialism, egalitarianism, and individual liberty? After all, the New Covenant is a liberal reform. There is more to the issue than Fox News. You really don't understand the meaning of the words you are using, or the history behind them. So no, liberal Xian is not an oxymoron.

Christians are not against sex. There is an entire book of the Bible singing the praises of love between a man and a woman and the beauties of a sexual relationship.
Just because the Bible did not explicit describe Jesus doing something, that doesn't mean that Christians are against it. Jesus was never married; he never gave birth; there is no clear description of him reading. That doesn't mean that Christians cannot do these things.

Sex is important for the existence of all species - so is true to Humans. We are suppose to reproduce no matter what our beliefs are....

I don't believe that Jesus was a Virgin, because as history shows, it was a must for all men to get married during the period he lived in - and he did get married to Mary Magdalene (this is not from Da Vinci Code) In fact, the whole wedding is explained in the Bible it self. No time to explain here - go to a scholar and they will tell you where it is mentioned

Sex is for married people (husbands with their wives) and yes if you are single no sex allowed until you get married and the marriage bed is honorable and is tio be undefiled with sex outside of marriage! But it is possible for married people to follow Jesus example, in the way he livedyou can still live by his example even though he wasn't married and have sex, in that you don't need an example , and I too think you should be banned from yahoo!

So according to you God [although he created the earth and everything in it] had no plans for the human race to procreate. Sexual intercourse was something that people came up with by accident and Hey what do you know, it makes babies too. You really would be better of reading the bible before you ask these questions .
