Maybe you are accidentally leading him on. If you don't care about him then you should make sure he knows. If he threatens to do stuff such as killing himself because you won't come back, don't come back. Get him some professional help.

You might be over him but for him you are still his reality and it takes time and time heals. you have already dumped him and hurt his ego....so the best you can do is gradually cut off not drasticalllyy.... or else just tell him "Dude, Its OVER and now its TIME to get OUT"

If you don't want to have anything to do with him, stop answering his calls. Tell him you no longer care about him and that you don't want to talk to him anymore and if he keeps bugging you, get a restraining order.
