What is the point in bombing Afghanistan?.......if it wasn't bombed would we be able to tell the difference?....from what I can see the place looks like a huge carpark with a load of boulders on it....And why are we in Iraq?...if it's just so we can steal all of their kebabs then we need to leave now,we've got enough kebabs of our own, especially on a friday night in Luton.

may be there's more in your stay than just to steal & bomb! even though everything seems upside down & screwed up nowadays in Iraq but I'm telling you we had NO hope whatsoever when saddam was still in power, but now we have nothing else but hope! so I guess thank you!

It's got nothing to do with car-parks or kebabs. The US does it (A) because it's armed forces require constant exercising and (B) because the American arms industry's weapons of mass destruction need to be seen out there being demonstrated on [somebody] most of the time... That's in order to keep the rest of the world in line, make sure it does exactly what the US tells it to and no one ever forgets who the World Boss is.

Therefore, Tony Bliar figures (hopes) it makes more sense to keep helping the US President do this bombing - than maybe, one day, become one of those countries the USA bombs...! That's why Tony Bliar spends almost all his time brown-nosing G.W.Bush and loyally dashing about the world pretending he's some kind of assistant to the US President.

We're in Iraq to find Weapons of Mass Destruction and maintain social order until such time that the Iraqi government no longer requires our efforts. The reasons for going in were bogus, but we can't go yet. I think Iran is big enough as it is, don't you? Can we just chop it up and give some to Kuwait, give some to the Emerates, give some to Saudi Arabia, wait! RENT it Saudi, etc. Just kidding. Iraq will get it's crap together before too long.
