Simple question, is the guy a bona fide bonaphile, i think he may well be, if he spent anytime at all trying to be a musician and not some tesco value poverty tampon, he may even come up with a half decent coherent lyric for once. As for the edge man those guys should really do one. What ya reckon, should he do one?

Well...This is the second question I have seen that is connected to Bono and his "crusade" against poverty. Again I would like to reiterate that everyone has the right to say anything here in this Q&A or in any other (otherwise I'd be asking Yahoo to ban the aholes who keep asking questions which are offensive and/or plain stupid). However I do find this sudden surge of celebrity preaching (it aint just Bono guys!!!) to be both hypocritical (they have 200 times more money than I'll ever have and yet they keep screaming at us to give to poor) and an insult to my intelligence (I aint dumb, I know there are poor people who need help because I live among them...unlike Bono and company). I agree that he and his ilk should spend time improving their craft/music and use that to help people rather than preaching about it...that is a job best left to clergy..

Yes, I'm sick of him trying to preach to the rest of us about how we should be doing more for poverty in Africa. Tell us something we don't know Bono? Most of us would love to do something to help these people and give as much as we can to charity - there is very little else we can do. We are people with limited funds unlike him and his other celebrity friends. If he feels so strongly about it then why does he not donate his fortune to the cause?

I know! I hate it when celebrities leave their designated realm of servicing the Americans' unquenchable need to be entertained and actually use their right to free speech to advocate fairness and equality. I mean, can't they just entertain me and shut their mouths? Personally I blame that b*tch Mother Theresa who started the whole thing and it has just gone down hill from there.
Why can't I just live my privileged lifestyle without people always being in my face about how others are suffering. Like I care about other people!
Maybe we should try to end terrorism, instead of caring about less important people in other countries. Why do people hate us so much?
