I really don't know, but I do feel for you. You are reaching out and I hope you can find some help/relief. I wish I could help you more. Perhaps it is a food allergy triggering it. That it comes and goes tells me it may be occurring because of a trigger. Really keep track of your diet and document your diet vs. when you break out. Body chemistry changes as we get older so this might be something systemic.

I've had it off and on for years. I finally found something that works. Unfortunately, I didn't find it until I moved to Australia, but if you can get hold of this stuff in a health store, buy it. Its called Martin & Pleasance Burn Cream. Yes, its for burns, but works on eczema like nothing I've ever tried... and I tried almost everything. Contact Masrtin & Pleasance Pty Ltd, 123 Dover Street, Richmond, Victoria, 3121, Australia. Phone 03 9427 7422.
By the way, this stuff also make a great lip balm, facial moisturizer and oddly enough, seems to stop tinea (athleet's foot), in its tracks. I know it sounds strange, but after so long with eczema, I started trying everything in the medicine cabinet. My guess is that these guys think they make a product that only works on burns and may not have tried it on anything else. Good luck.

I got a recujrring eczema on my scalp, going into my ears, so I know exactly what you are talking about. Unfortunately too much cortizone is dangerous, so try not to think about doing this. Too much cortizone can cause cancer.
What I do, I put a little of the cream the derm gave me onto a cotton swab and gently put it into my ears and around it. As far as my scalp goes, I wash it with a special shampoo for sensitive scalp, you can buy it over the counter in most pharmarcies, and I do not put any conditioner in my hair for it aggravates it. Instead I give my hair a hot oil treatment with olive oil. To relive the horrible itch when I break out with it, I use noxema all over the rash. Noxema is medicated and cools and relieves the itch at least temporarily.
Unfortunately eczema is not easy to get rid of, if they ever can. It is a skin condition. You do have ultra sensitive skin and the first thing you need to make sure is that your soaps and shampoos are perfume and dye free.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Works like a charm. Doctors just know what their told by other doctors. Doctors are wrong on this one. Or, it's just something they can't sell.
If you follow the instructions on this web site you'll be free of eczema in a month. Cured.

Are you sure it is eczema? It could be something else as well, like Psoriasis. Go to a dermatologist to find out and to hear what you can do about it.
