around the eye it looks a bit sore i have only had him for a day and i got him from somewhere not very nice he is only young about 4 months and seems to be shutting it a bit like its sore help what do i do i saved him cause it wasnt a very nice shop and now i dont want him to be in pain

Hiya your cockatiel may have been injured by another bird or scratched it by himself if he is a bit nervous?
He could also have developed and infection in it, so I would suggest popping him down to your local vets where they will be able to examine it closer and probably prescribe some antibiotic drops which will help fight the infection.
Most vets will offer a cheaper consultation for a bird or small animal so it is worth ringing round.
If you cannot get him to a vets soon, wrap him in a small towel and bathe it with cooled boiled water.
