How can they put these soldiers in jail before they are convicted? I guess guilty first under a liberal way of life....You know its becaise the left is putting pressure on the White House to do something about the evil US military.

OUR SOLDIERS SHOULDN'T GO TO JAIL. THEY ARE RISKING THEIR LIVES FOR THIS COUNTRY. PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PRESSURE THEY ARE UNDER OVER THERE.

It's not unusual to hold someone who is charged with a crime this horrible in jail until their hearing. They could very well believe they are a flight risk, or have another reason to hold them.
As much as I support our troops and everything they are doing, I got to say that these men that have been charged with this crime should be thankful that they aren't standing trial in Iraq for this! As far as I'm concerned, they should send them back to Iraq, after all, that is where the crime was committed, and make them face whatever punishment that the Iraqi people see fit if they are found guilty, which I believe they are guilty! And if that makes me horrible for saying that before they have even went to court, well then I'm horrible! No doubt that they thought they could get away with it!
As a military wife, you won't find a bigger supporter of our troops and our President then me, but don't you think that your icon with the word coward over someone who served in the military is a little disrespectful? He deserves respect. You don't have to agree with his views, but he served in the military and fought for his country, and he is a hero for that.

First off, you are one who has problems understanding basic ideas, so I'll try to keep this simple. Anybody accused of violent crimes, military or non-military should be held untill such time as they are either found guilty or exonerated.
The "liberal way of life" is the American way of life. You are a fool who has no understanding of what liberal is. Why is it that during election years, as it has turned into years here so that the lyers such as yourself can build up a head of steam, that "liberal" turns into so many things? Your foolish question is a perfect example, morons like yourself will say liberals aren't tough on crime, or are too tough on the accused to suit your political ends. Kind of like putting "coward" over the face of a war hero as your icon. Furthermore what "left" is putting pressure on the white house to do something about the "evil US military?"
You are clearly insane.

military proceedure. until it's proven one way or the other that these men are guilty or not, they have to make sure they're contained. It's also a form of protection for them. Its been known for peers of military men who have done wrong (BIG WRONGS) to take action into their own hands.
And the US Military isn't evil. If they didn't want to be treated this way, then they shouldn't have signed a contract that says it's OK for it, and then gone and done something stupid.

It is called pre-trial confinement. It is to protect the accused soldiers from themselves and other soldiers who might do them harm. Personally, I would get into the Military and do your duty to your country before you start running your mouth.

It is not uncommon for people (military or civilian) to be held without bail if they are on trial for a serious crime. I would assume that you know that, so what is the point of this question?

Because the accused would do what the US military does best.

Yeah every suspected criminal is locked up if they are formally charged. That's why there are such things as bail hearings.

I suggest that you learn something about our (and everybody else's) legal systems.
It is very common for suspected criminals to be held in confinement prior to trial. (How many criminals would show up for trial otherwise?)
