you should know each other by now which can be agood thing and a bad thing.....
its a good thing as you already know if he is a decent guy etc but bad thing as when you start going out relaitonship wise there isn't much else to find out about him.....which some people like the excitement of finding out about someone...its like starting on your 20th date and by then you are committed!
but remember if you broke up could you lose a potential friend?
but its totally up to you hun if you like him and it will work and he makes you happy -go for it! only you (and him) can decide whether its a good idea
best of luck hun :)

I think you have an excellent foundation for a good relationship. You both know each other well and know what to expect from each other which is a great asset in a relationship, mutual understanding.
Ultimately though honey, you need to make the call.
Personally, my first love was my best friend and even though we are not together now, i'm so greatful i had it. I wouldn't change it for the world.
The best advice i can give you is to be brave and do what you know you want to do...
I hope it works out for you honey...x

Why did it take 6 years? Were one or both of you not mature enough or was there something holding you back, like a significant other? If it's mutual, then go for it. But make sure you can get by without him as a friend if it doesn't work out.
Watch "When Harry Met Sally" with him and then broach the subject.

Try to think if you like this guy as a friend or as a boyfriend? You have to think hard about it and think if anything goes wrong with the relationship, will your friendship still be there? If it will be, then I say go for it.

What better way to get to know someone first. You are more likely to be able to decide now you've got to know each other so well. Go for it!

If you feel that "thing" with him and the feelings are mutual...GO FOR IT. I mean who knows you better than a friend you've had for 6 years
