Why is it deceitful?
Have you seen some of the people who are using starlet's pictures lately?
Would you rather be frightened out of years of life just by looking at their real pictures?
Anyway, why are you concerned about it anyway?
It doesn't harm you or anyone else for that matter, does it?
Think of it this way, better safe then sorry when looking at them and not seeing the real persons picture, he he he.

Like what you're doing right now? Yes, a reason for Avatars is for the identification of people online, other than the screen name, to be more unique than the other. To mis-represent yourself through your Avatar is deceit. Plain and simple. Unless it really is you...

I think it's lame and completely boring. Why would you post a celeb as your avatar? Coz u wanna be that person? It's self deceit -- and also a turn off.

I do not think so. Everyone of us have the right to put whatever pics we want to put there so if you put a celebrity's pic there, that's fine by me. :)
