She mated on April 25th (I think it takes 12 days for the egg to implant). She stopped her heat cycles and gained a lot of weight. About 2 weeks ago, I even saw that milk could be expressed from her nipples. But she is supposedly due any day now and nothing has really changed. She hasn't gotten that much bigger and even seemed to have a heat spell about a week ago. Her behavior is a bit skittish but not nearly as unusual as it was a few weeks ago. Also, the outside of her vagina has been coated w/ a gross, sticky brown substance for about 2 weeks. Is any/all of this normal? Could the babies be dead? Also, what should I do if she does not give birth this week?

70 Days Pregnant!? Oh Boy! I have not had a Queen go for 70 days before queening.. But... I have done some research and all sites I have seen says anywhere from 65 to 69 days. I would suggest you take her to the Vets today, and find out if they are all alive or dead, But you should be able to see her sides moving when she is laying down, that will be an indication that some or all are alive.
Here is a A table to go by:

If bred on April 25, this is when she should have had the kittens, approximately:

Bred 4/25 Due 6/29. According to the Gestation Period, she is a wee bit late, this is an approximate date, give or take a few days either way. You need to get her to the Vets.

For pete's sake people. DON'Tt answer the question if you don't know what you are talking about.
65 days is normal. They can go up to 68 days. If not born on Day 69, a C-section must be performed to remove all the kittens. Brown stuff for two weeks is not a good sign.. This cat needs to go to the vet right now, not tommorrow, right now.

Your vet should have given you a date to go by that she would have started showing signs of labor. If she doesn't birth by the evening, this IS an emergency. Puppies could be stuck in the birth canal, which risks her life, and ensures the end of every puppies life that she may of had in this litter. WHY do you own an in-tact dog if you don't know the most basic information?

I believe it's like 75 days, that they are pregnant for. It may be a few days off. But when it's time, they usually will go to safe, private space in the house, Where their kittens can't be harmed. And also you might want to keep this in mind if she does give birth, make sure you don't touch her kittens, because she will kill them. But if she's having difficulties giving birth you can help her if needed. But if you want go ahead and call your vet, ok. Wish you the best of luck. Have a nice day.

Cats are normally pregnant for 56 days. The kittens often die in the womb, and then they are not born, but this is life threatening for the mother. take her to a good vet ASAP!
