We are on the same swimming team. The first summer (she only swims during vacation), when I started swimming, I never talked to her or something like that. The second summer, I started talking to her. We chatted occasionally, and had like two 40 minute chats, and I already liked her. After thinking and even dreaming about her, the third summer has come. She seems to stay away from me, a little bit, for an unknown reason. If I talk to her, she responds happily, but it almost seems like she is a little shy around me, unlike last year. I know I have not offended her, so why does she do this. She is a very carefree, light, and fun person, and I would like her to become my girlfriend, except she never swims with my group in the swim team, and I don't have much chance to talk to her. She always is with her good friend, a nother nice and quieter, but carefree girl, so it is harder for me to approach her. How should I ask her out, as we are only acquaintances?

wow!! let me tell u somethin....i have been going swimming for 6 summers now and there is this guy there who had become my friend during the 2nd summers, and i started liking him......but i was scared if i hung around him he would think i was flirty so i increased our distances......but he asked me out and now from the last 4 summers we've been a pair!!! Maybe this girl also likes you but just is confused or scared....ask her out.....maybe she'll agree if she doesn't theres nothing wrong with you, is there? just get on with life....maybe she'll change her mind!!!!!!!!!11

wow, that was a flashback to me taking a crap and reading the Sweet Valley High books my sister would leave in the bathroom
Yeah I read some of it, so what. I had already read how vibrant and soft Pantene will make even the driest, dullest hair glow and the ingredients on the back of the hand soap is not even of fleeting interest.

Maybe she doesn't fill good around you, because her body is changing, and maybe she is getting horny filling for you. Or she might be look down at your swimming trunk and happen that she is scared why she does that. When female bodies change, so the way that they act. So just talk to her and ask her to be your girlfriend your and her might be happy. go for it. Just act as no one is around her. just focus on her.

just be straight forward, ask her why are she acting that way..well, isn't honesty the best policy? lol
don't think too much or too further away about asking her to be your girlfriend..take it step by step..start from being an ordinary friend?..then if u find out that she's really worth it to be a friend..move on to close friends..then..just keep on moving forward until you reach the goal!! :)

I think she might actually like you to :) Ask her out, but kinda on a group date maybe? So she can take her friend along, which should give her some more confidence...
