when the woman is on the birth control pill

If it's lucky, one sperm will survive the hostile environment of the female vagina, and go on to fertilize her egg, leading to the development of a parasite which we humans term "pregnancy". This parasitic infection will last long after the birth of the parasite. Typically 18 years, but sometimes ranging up to 4 decades.

The remaining sperm congeals, forming a "clot" that typically lasts for 5-10 minutes. Then enzymes in the vaginal vault go to work breaking the clot up into a thick, slimy mucous that picks the most inopportune moment to finally make it's exit from the female body.

Graphic enough?

There will be thousands of sperms enter the woman and the best and the fastest swimmer (they swim in the body) will reach the egg first and enter the egg. All the other sperms will not be able to enter after it. Unless 2 sperms enter together, that is where twins come from..
