Learn the relationship of all things and make intuitive leaps to an intended goal. Then look for methods that can produce your intended result. ie. If you realize the need for a new type of battery, find out how present batteries work then try and see a deeper understanding (how is energy stored without discharging). You can take it from here.

engineer that is good at math, physic and whatsoever is not enough.. to be an inventor he needs to have lots of ideas and imaginations...

Get a job doing work on the cutting edge of technology. You're bound to have to 'invent' something to get your stuff working. That's how I got mine.
