You need to know want first - to visit the US; to go to school in the US; to work in the US; to live in the US; etc.

The cheapest way is to figure out what you want, then contact the nearest US embassy and apply. Do not use brokers, consultants or lawyers.

The easiest and the cheapest way is to find an employer and apply for a B-1 Tourist or a B-2 Business visa. Some other visa categories are H and EB. Visit www.visapro.com or other website with reference for more information.

Immediately pay the necessary visa fees in a bank and call the US embassy for an appointment. That is the cheapest and easiest way to have a US visa. Do not consult fixers because they will just get money from you without any result. Search the site of the US Embassy and all the information will be provided to you.

There is no easy or cheap way. Depends on which country you are from. Most people get a H1B visa but the US government limits how many of those are awarded. There are specific visas depending on jobs, like the O1 visa is for performing artists. If you are from Canada you can apply for a Trade Nafta Visa, but your work has to be on the Trade Nafta List. You must also possess a degree in that field to have a TN visa. It's mostly professional jobs on that list like engineers, doctors, University Profs, scientists. If you are looking for a simple job like waiting tables or in retail, good luck. You'll never get a work visa for that. If you have a travel visa, you will not be permitted to work, the States will not issue you a social security number, therefore most places won't even hire you. You'll have to find under the table work, but with stricter regulations with illegal immigrants and work visas, most places don't want to test the government.

You have to meet the uscis qualifications to get a visitors visa for the us. Go to your embassy/consulate to find out how long it will take you to get a visitor's visa into the us. For a visa to live and work here, you need an employer that will sponsor you. I hope I was helpful.

Ask the American Embassy. Do it right or stay home we have enough illegals here already. Do it the right way please and then don't overstay the visa. By the way what's the penalty for entering your country illegally or overstaying your visa?
