Not....he didn't ask the lady to flirt with him. Some women consider it a compliment that another woman find their man attractive. So he got a cheap thrill out of someone flirting with him. He probably smiled because he was amused. Nothing justifies striking another person...that includes women. And, yes..that was an insecure and immature act.

Not justified. Don't put yourself in a man's place unless you're ready to get treated like a man. Had the situation been reversed, he would have been hauled off to jail on a domestic violence charge. He didn't physically harm you, & you were in no way justified to physically harm him. You're very fortunate he didn't knock the taste out of your mouth in retaliation for your unwarranted attack. Next time, use your words & be an adult. If you feel he's disrespecting you, let him know in no uncertain terms. If he can't respect you then, leave him.

slapped his a**? i'd have slapped you back real HARD! you're both wrong. if you want respect, you need to work on that calmly and intelligently when you are not threatened by THE OTHER WOMAN and when he is not 'baiting' you. get some books or whatever and learn to have a good SECURE respectful relationship instead of the 'slap-happy' power-struggle you are both engaged in now.

Sorry, I disagree! No one deserves to be slapped, hit, pushed, kicked or whatever, it's wrong. You wouldn't like it if he slapped you.
Domestic violence ruins relationships everyday and it can start with something as simple as just a single slap.
Don't open doors that are not meant to be opened. You should've told him that if he wants another chick, go get it! Tell him that you want one man, one relationship and it that's not what he wants, it's best to move on.
Don't settle.
