In the Islamic religions tattoos are forbidden, because Allah created the human body in a divine perfection! In christian religions tattoos are tolerated, see images like Dave Jone's locker. But some priests here in Germany agrees to the opinion of the Islamic priests concerning the tattoos and the divine perfection.

I know that you are not to tatto your body in mourning for the dead. I myself have 5 tattoos and I am a Christian. I did get them before I became a Christian though.

Orthodox Judiasm prohibits tatoos. There is a section in Leviticus where tattoos are specifically banned, so groups such as Jehovas Witnesses are likely against them as well; as should be any strict Biblical interpretation religions.

Most others seem ok with them.

It says in the bible not to put tattoo mark on your body, I can't remember what scripture that is but it says that. I stil got 5 tattoos though, it's my body and I like to decorate it.

As a christian, I believe that my body is a temple (part of Jesus - Paul wrote something about it... Think he says that when we are born again - our bodies is a part of Christ???)

and God only gave me this one body... I want to take care of it and keep it in a good condition... Would you get a tattoo if you were a part of Jesus?

Not me!

Jews are not supposed to get tattoos. If a Jew gets a tattoo, he/she cannot be burried in a Jewish cemetary.

Put it this way: according to the bible, your body is a temple.

Would you desecrate a temple by spray-painting graffiti on its walls?
