Sometimes you have to show someone than just tell them. Plan a trip(an expensive one), and lead him to believe you(both)are going. And that you fully expect him to pay half because you can not afford to pay all. If he slacks and feels that you will cave in the end and pay for it all. Work up a bogus ad for like CL. Stating you are seeking a partner to share a trip. Say it is open to anyone. Allow him to discover it. when he comments on it tell him he doesn't seem like he is doing anything towards it. And if he mentions the "anyone" part. Tell him if a guy wanted to, you would not rule it out because you would feel safer from thugs and muggers with a guy. With out having to tell him, you are creating a situation he can only get out of himself by coming up with the money. And unless he has friends and or parents with deep pockets, he has to go earn some dough. You don't really need to take the trip after he got his butt to work, but would it not be a nice reward for your effort?

What! Forget offending him. If he's not working and you are then he's offending you and taking full advantage of you. From now on when he wants to go and do things tell him you don't have the money. Let him sit at home for a while and maybe he'll get one. How old is this guy? Dump him now and find a real man that works.

if he basically taking ur money, by expecting u to pay for things, then u shouldn't worry about not offending him. u should tell him to stop taking advantage of u and to get a job.
but if u want to be nice about it. when he suggests going out but he doesn't have cash and wants u to pay for it, tell him u're short on cash, have bills, u're saving for something important or something like that. after a week or 2, and he asks y u guys haven't gone out, tell me that he could always make some money by getting a job, so u guys can go out.

Offend him. Say "GET A JOB SUCKER!"
I love my man to death but when it comes to stuff like that I'm not biting my tongue.
get a backbone girl!
He is offending you by not having a job.
Hell may man wants to get another job cause he want to get me this or that I had to let him that as long as he was handling his business everything is cool. My man quit his full time job went back to collage cause he want to buy me a house.
What does your man want to do for you?
Money is not everything but he should want you to have the finer things in life or at least lights on in the house, or gas in your car, or new undies form VS. something DAMN.

Show him your bills, bank account and budget that has more money planned than what you make by yourself, and hint that if he got a job that money would be there. OR, just show him your budget and say that if you don't come up with extra money ( like him getting a job) the cable/cell/WOW subscription might be cut off and I'm sure he'll act. :)

I think what you need to do first is to ask him on what is his plans. If he don't have any, then i think thats pretty messed up over there. Try to explain to him your situation and if hes not responsible enough to get one then i dont think he's reponsible enough to be with you. Be true girl get a man who can share with you not only emotionally but financially too.

omg you're dating my ex boyfriend aren't you! You tell them to either get a job or get out, that was my mistake by feeling "omg I'll offend him" there's other fish. Tell him to stop being a loser and to stop feeling sorry for himself before he makes you feel sorry. GET A JOB YOU LOW LIFE LOSER

HAHA do you live together, if so tell him it takes two to make dreams come true.A real man would want to get one, if he doesnt get one soon maybe you should just move on if you dont want to offend him.

Dont do it for him, that will lower his self esteem.Dont get him interviews or go,"hey!their hiring!"that will embarass him and probably piss him off.Just ease it into a conversation on the subject and be as natural about it as possible, you dont want to seem like its been on your mind .Good luck!
