Use a wild bird seed or you can buy a premix for doves and some fruits, sometimes green grass and water, they will eat bugs to such as meal worms. Also, if you have a pet store that might sell doves and other birds you could probably get rid of your extras (birds) and they could give you more ideas for better care of your birds. Good Luck...

I breed "Dwarf Turtle Doves" - they make lovely pets!

I suggest you give them a very varied diet. Keep feeding them the seed, but add some pear, lettuce (mine love it!), also hard-boiled egg is very good for the growth of the young ones. Give them some bread too, but be aware to break it into small crumbs, as lumps too big can choke the babies.

Make sure they always have very clean water, too.

meal worms are for fish, go to your pet store or vet and ask or read a book or a website on doves and pigeons. mine ate chicken food since i was raising chickens too.
