Through my experience with cops, they all seem to be living a middle class, mundane, squeezed by the nuts lifestyle, in which they take out their aggression on hard working people hoping to someday become arrogant millionaires...Is it true?

most pigs I've met were the kids who got picked on in school or former jocks who've gone nowhere in life and stayed in their hometown... its their taste of power... makes them feel important. I'm a way bit cynical and although I'm a law abiding citizen I've seen too many people get abused and unfairly treated by the local "law enforcement agents". I used to respect them years ago... but no longer can from what I've seen over the years. Sorry...

You are probably one of those people who make cute little quips like, "I pay your salary," or "I'll have your job" whenever you get caught doing something wrong by law enforcement.
I can't imagine what you mean about cops and aggression...they go to work everyday (or night) as servants of the public--trying to solve the problems that plague our society, doing so with little if any thanks or appreciation from the people they serve. What a heavy burden law enforcement officers carry, and for relatively little pay. Most cops work 8-12 hour shifts in which they have to deal with society's rudest, crudest, and most socially unacceptable persons. They are expected to make split-second decisions and take immediate action in times of crisis--times when most people would probably break down and pee their pants, knowing all the while that their actions will be scrutinized and picked apart when the dust settles. Cops work hard, they train hard, they forego conventional and comfortable lifestyles and personal relationships because they are dedicated to their jobs. Cops see and interact with horrific situations that most people would run away screaming from. Cops take these horrible images and memories home with them at the end of every shift, and still somehow manage to get up and go back to work the next day.
There are some cops out there who are unethical or "badge-heavy", who you may have run into. That is unfortunate, and I do not defend "crooked" cops or those who use misuse their authority. However, cops are human and are therefore subject to the same shortcomings and temptations as the rest of the human race.
If there are cops out there who have become arrogant millionaires, more power to them...I'm sure they have more than earned it.

If a cop wanted to be a millionaire, he would get out of law enforcement.

Today's true heroes are teachers and law enforcement professionals.

Teachers-Do the best they can and receive mostly blame when a child fails...why is it never a parents fault if a child doesn't do homework or doesn't come to class or doesn't study? Teachers have a extremely heavy burden....they must not only teach our children to read and write, but more and more are virtually raising some of their students because of poor parenting.

Cops-The overwhelming majority of law enforcement professionals have a strong desire to make the community a better place to live both for your family and theirs! The problem is there is an inadequate amount of people willing to accept such low monetary compensation with little or zero recognition or appreciation for their service. Again, that isn't the reason they picked their profession......they picked the profession to make their community a better place to live.

Go thank a teacher and thank a cop for their selfless dedication and service!

Most cops wake up in the morning just like every other hard working man or woman and have the same hopes and dreams of being rich and famous. However the difference between them and the average Joe and Jane is the uniform nothing more, nothing less. They go to work do their job which is, by the way, to make sure rules and regulations that have been set by the government (FOR OUR PROTECTION!!!!!) are followed, wether we like it or not getting pulled over means you were doing something stupid or you did something stupid in the past that you never bothered to rectify. In most cases you ought to think about the person behind the uniform are they any different from you when you're at work doing your job? The answer is a resounding NO they're trying to make ends meet just like the rest of us, we all just find different ways of doing so.

Actually NO!

They are self sacraficing people, who are not appreciated by ANYONE unless, they are 'NEEDED' in an emergency, THEN, people are wondering why they arent there in a "split second", (as if the Police have only them to worry about, through out thier watch, on a large population).

Everyone thinks the Police are crooked, on the take, and every other evil thing, until they need them, then they are the most important thing in some ones life, whom ever is in need at that moment!

They are never thanked. They are always late. They are always eating donuts. They should be out catching "bad guys", instead of busting everyone for speeding tickets. They should mind thier own business. They should be taking care of that lousy neighbor of mine. They should be doing a 1000 and 1 things, instead of what they ARE doing, because I expect them to be doing something "important", not what they are doing now, because it doesnt impact my life!!

That about sums it up, with what the Public thinks about the Police...

I wish you well..

Jesse

What is wrong with being a millionaire?

Anyone in the middle class can be a millionaire if they watch their spending and save and invest their money.

Poor people are poor because they make bad choices.

I agree with woodworking.. A lot of people think cops are on the take or whatever. One could save your life someday, or someone you love. They are so under appreciated, as with many other community service folks. In my experience with people who complain about them,(cops) they are always in trouble...go figure.

Police officers sacrifice their lives to protect the public, inlcuding uneducated morons. It is a thankless job where they are continously ridiculed, but in times of emergency who do you look to? I know may police officers, and I don't know one who eats donuts, or is "squeezed by the nuts".

ok, 1000 bucks says you just watched a rogue cop movie. am i right? am i right?

i think its too late at night for u to be up man - cops are solemn and stone faced and seemingly angry because if they were busting crack dealers and had a smile on their face they would be shot in the face.
