Ok, so I am in LOVE with the Meatball Sub or w/e its called.
I was wondering who knows the recipe of the marinara sauce. Cause its easy to make, just get meatballs and the sauce and the cheese and the bread and voila! But I want to know if there is a certain notion to this recipe...?

Mel...great sandwiches. It's cool because when I don't have that much money, I get the kids meal...and they give alot too...including the little gold fish crackers. That's right, I am a kid at heart....and I really like Quiznos.

Same thing with Subway subs.
I have created my own version and I think improved it.
Make the meatballs
Make the sauce, use any sauce, doctor it up with Italian spices, oregano and basil.
Add garlic, any form
Put sauce and meatballs in crock pot and slow cook on high for one hour and low for six hours.
You want the sauce to penetrate the meatballs, so when you bite into the meatballs they will ooze with sauce. How yummy is that.
I like double cheese on mine.
For a more authentic taste, call some Subways, they'll sell you the breads alone, I don't know if Quiznos will.

Quiznos works for me if I'm in the area; I guarantee that Quiznos has a canned sauce that's patented and packaged specifically for their stores, and the managers themselves probably don't have a "recipe".

Marinara Sauce

2 8 oz cans tomato paste
2 tablespoons oregano
2 tablespoons basil
4 oz grated Parmesan cheese (mixed in)
1 clove garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 lb ground beef or pork, if desired
