Yes, my spouse's religious commitment is important for me.
I have two reasons for that:
1- Having better understanding and better relation and mutual respect for each other believes and thoughts.
2- Better up bringing of our kids, other wise our kids might be confused if we have two kinds or two ways of teaching them.

Yes. My wife and I have different religious interpretations. She has a non-orthodox belief in God and I have no belief.

It is important to me that she does not believe in the traditional interpretation of any religion. In other words, she does not believe that I will go to hell. Our relationship is secular and non-theistic, but it gives me great relief to know that in the back of her mind she doesn't believe she's married to a heathen, so she will never feel the need to 'save' me.

I, of course, not believing in any kind of Saviour, also feel no need to 'save' her.

Apart from that, she could believe in the divinity of the Smurfs if she wanted, and I'd still love her!

Yeah, that yoke's a real problem. It really weighs you down, especially if you'renot evenly yoked. That's why I took mine off and left the church. I refuse to waste my life carrying the yoke of religion in the hope of some afterlife.

Of course it is! Our loving Heavenly Father won't let her or the kids into Heaven if they ever swear or jack off or doubt the invisible guy for a second. I want to see my loved ones again, please God, whatever you say!

I think it is very important! How are we to teach our children if we both disagree on everyting. If you are both strong in God your children will be.
