I really like animals and being a vet would be a perfect job for me I live in a small town where vets are needed and I love animals. The only problem is I can't disect animals and I know to be a vet I have to. I don't know if I could put animals to sleep either. Any other jobs that help animals or have to do with animals that actully make money?

you need to disect them to know more about them. Just like doctors need cadavors to learn more about the human body. Don't look at it that ohh look at the cute bunny that I have to poke into. Look at it that this is the bunny to help me learn more about other bunnies.

You can work in zoo's and help feed the animals. Maybe an animal trainer for circuses or zoo's. Maybe you can have a kennel and resuce animals.

if u r uncomfortable during disecting and stuff...then as per my suggestions..
u should give up the wish of becoming a vet.since u already know that u anyway have 2 disect animals ...
there are many career options dealing with animals..
visit a career councilor, who can help u with ur career....
all the best!!!

no matter what it is, you may have to do dissection to get the degree. it's hard, but consider it a way of helping all the animals you will encounter as a vet... or whatever you decide to do. there are also zoo jobs, pet grooming, animal handling, ecological research, to name a few.
