He didn't able to knock O. Larios in their fight (July 2, 2006) but he keep saying he intend it and let the 12 rounds be finished so his Filipino fans would enjoy more? What is your comment?

Well I read rumors going around that Freddie Roach was interviewed in LA regarding why Pacquiao didn't TKO this guy and instead let it finish by 12 round.

This is what Freddie Roach said to the interview:

Before the fight Manny was approached by ABS-CBN officials, and Freddie over hearing the officials that If Pacman TKO this guy before 12 round, there is not alot of money to go in the network to make the money or even to compensate the cost of having the rights to televised the fight.

Because the longer the fight the more advertising commercial to be aired.

and that means more money for ABS-CBN and for Manny Pacquiao.

there's no doubt he can finish larios if he just started pounding on him in the early goings. as a filipino and a fan of manny pacquiao i think i would be much happier if i saw him knocking the hell out of larios, of course a win is still a win but a knockout would have ceratinly made a lot of impact compared to the one generated by a win by decision. again i would reitereate that pacman is very much capable of giving a fight that would not go the distance. he could have done just that to larios because we've already seen him do that to a morales and a berrera caliber, but the thing is there are rumor circulating that the sponsors enjoyed it more than the fans did. by going the entire possible route of the fight, you can just imagine how much exposure time the sponsors had... for a bout that is not expected to last more than 6 rounds that's like a buy-one-take-one deal for the sponsors right??? i hope manny pacquiao has nothing to do with these but his promotions firm (MP productions) is the one responsible for promoting the fight in association of abs-cbn among others. is there really a conspiracy to pressure pacman to let the fight go the distance??? we will never know for sure. as a pacquiao fan i hope there is no truth to this because things like this can serve a knock-out blow to pacman's image as the people's champ.

full of bull **** men! he was nearly knocked down by Larios on the 2nd round with a left hook, you should have seen the face of Pacquiao looking nowhere because he lost consciousness for a while, if only Larios was wise enough, a follow up right punch should have ended the carreer of Pacman, he he he i was even betting for Larios, too bad.. he he he

that was a flat out lie. Oscar Larios was in the best shape of his life in this fight, i never seen him look that fit. Pac did his thing, pound the body, if the rounds was for 15 rounds he probably would have got a KO but Larios' fitness and heart kept him in there even though he took a bad beating. but i have to say though how stupid it is that alot of pilipino fans where complainign that Pac sucked cuz he dint ko larios even though this was by far one his best performace. he dint just out box the boxer but he droped him and gave him a beating. also people over rate the 3rd round punch that he took it wasnt that bad, he dint even really get hurt, it just took him by surprise. he even went on to win that round by going on the attack.

An absolute alibi. Everybody expected a KO and he knew it. But we cannot blame him. According to some reports, he's not in his top form when he fought Larios.

Well, it may seem like he is just justifying the fact that he "cannot finish the fight fast" but then again, Manny, being a strong boxer and a veteran for that matter, may be saying the truth. We can never really tell for sure because we are not the one getting beaten up in that ring, right?

you have a point. coz i think he wasnt really fighting w/ all his strength. he was making the fight long. he wants to reach the 12th round.
