i think she could possibly be an animal hoarder.
that is someone that collects animals until they have 30-80 animals..sometimes hundreds!!! its an addiction..like compulsive shopping or gambling. they think they are helping but they really are not. their animals are usually under weight, in poor condition, and their homes are usually filthy!
you need to contact you local SPCA, or humane society. its illegal to keep a dog in an enclosed vehicle.
PLEASE call them before the poor dogs DIE!

I agree. Even if your heart is in the right place, abuse is abuse. You can actually call animal control in most areas the next time you see the dogs frying in the back of her Jeep. I know that seems harsh considering she's trying to do the right thing, but the dogs could be suffering. She also from what I can gather is exhibiting some collecting behaviour. In other words, she is not deliberatlely cruel, and in fact loves animals so much that she cannot pass up the opportunity to take in the next stray. Soon these people begin to live in the squalor born of their good nature, and it's not healthy for the humans or the dogs. Oftentimes the police or animal control agencies will intervene to help these people, and take some of the animals off their hands and put them into shelters, where they can find loving homes.
You might contact animal control and see what they can tell you for your local area.

She may think she is helping, but she is putting those dogs in danger by leaving them inside the jeep. Even if the windows are rolled down, the termperature inside the jeep could get up to 120 degrees. The dogs could suffer heatstroke, suffocation, and could possible die. I agree with the other answerers who said to talk to her about it, or call the humane society.

Sure sounds like a problem to me. You are allowed (in my state) to break the windows out to help the dogs. If you are able to, I would speak to her and find out what's going on with them. If not able, call the animal control or police as they can handle it. I hope that there's a good explanation for this behavior because it sounds like this person has a very good heart, maybe just a very bad brain. So sad...

I think that a concerened caring neighbor who loved animals would speak to the woman and try to help her come up with an alternative to her having these animals in her home/jeep.

In most states it is illegal (and obviously stupid!) to leave a dog in a car - and definitely abusive. It's way too hot in the summer and way too cold in the winter. Call animal control on her.

You can't keep dogs in the back ofyour car because you can't have them in the house. I would say kick her a** but does she keep them there when she is in enjoying her a/c or just when they drive places? kick her butt anyways!! then report her for it...unless she is just driving them places. You gotta do what you gotta do! At least have it checked out by Animal Control, Humane Society, or SPCA

Yes she is, & I would notify your local Animal shelter. That just isn't fair to the animals!!!!. You should really contact PETA, they want to know of any thing , that relates to abuse no matter how small this seems. They will not let anything happen to them.------, experiments on them & the like. Just go to PETA on the yahoo search bar, & someone can tell you what to do!-NO--Don't go to PETA----,I just found out their no good either!!!!!!. I learned this from FROST, by reading her answer , I'm sorry!
