Zidane is a champion in our hearts ! It's one of the greatest soccer player. In France, people are very proud of him.

I am convinced that Zidane is far from being the only person to blame for the unfamous headbutt that ended the last 10 minutes of his career.
Like he said, he would have been foolish to do this for no good reason. Marco Materazzi has probably found the right insults to make him mad. Zidane told that he insulted his mother (who is in the hospital at the moment) and his sister with words that were both hard to stand and repeated several times.
I believe him more than the pityful denials of the italian player who has a long history of doubtful behaviour on the field.

He was a great player who will now live as a legend because he just retired.
No one is perfect. He will be remembered for his bad plays as well as his good ones. Overall, he'll be remembered as a great soccer player.
