This word does not bound with any religion or language.
Any name you pick for God should be beautiful and you can't assosiate His name with anyone.
For example, if we call him Jack, then there are many Jacks and the person you are talking to may not understand the exact meaning of what you are talking about.
In Islam, there are 99 attributes of God (including Allah) and while Muslim mostly use Allah for the sake of diversity in languages and cultures, many use other attributes as well.

The Bible shows that Jehovah God examines our heart to determine how we feel about his name. The psalmist said: "If we have forgotten the name of our God, . . . will not God himself search this out? For he is aware of the secrets of the heart." (Psalm 44:20, 21) The prophet Isaiah wrote: "Give thanks to Jehovah, you people! Call upon his name. Make known among the peoples his dealings. Make mention that his name is put on high."—Isaiah 12:4.

In Islam God has 99 names (excluding Allah). However these 99 names all describe, I guess you could say, His attributes. For example, Al-Khaliq, which means The Creator.

How many do you want? He's known by many names starting with things like El Shaddai, Adonai, Jehovah ( with all the add ons like Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nissi, etc) Then there's Emmanuel, and a whole heap of others. You can find all of them in The Bible, especially if you look in a study bible

I think it's kind of like the old joke about a cat. It doesn't matter what you call him 'cause he isn't going to come anyways. God doesn't need to be called by a particular name to know you are addressing Him.
