i have a 1999 ford mustang, v6, the fuel light and the gas gauge doesn't work anymore, even when completely full of gas....can anyone help?

i know nothing much about this car, but exactly where is the fuse box located it? i'll check it first...thanks all for help

I,ll bet it is the fuel sending unit inside your gas tank. The fuel pump and sending unit are all incorporated into a single unit however if the tank is removed the sending unit can be replaced separately.This would account for both the problems you describe. Good luck.

First check your fuses there might be a blown fuse. or the hard way but this is very time consuming but it will fix your problem you will have to get a voltmeter and a book on your mustang find the wireing diagram in your book and follow the wire in your car untill you can find it. a little vague but thats all you can do

There will be something incorrect with the sender itself interior the tank, or the gauge has screwed up by some skill, or probably a body administration workstation, as some would call it. desire those get you shut or interior the right direction.

My 1998 Venture Van does the same thing. Just keep it filled up and REMEMBER to get gas often!

Check your fuses, if both the light and guage quit, then it is most likley a fuse.

IT IS A SIMPLE GROUN PROBLEM AT THE TANK. REPLACE THE GROUND AND IT WILL WORK FINE.
