Encouraging scripture verses in time of anguish?

Question

My friend recently found out she has a tumor on her leg and is going for a biopsy today to find it if its malignant or benign. It will take a couple of days to get the results back. Please give me some encouraging scripture verses to help her through this waiting period.

Rev. 21:4, 5: “‘[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’ And the One seated on the throne said: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ Also, he says: ‘Write, because these words are faithful and true.’”

Matt. 9:35: “Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching . . . and preaching the good news of the kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.” (By associating such healing with his preaching about the Kingdom, Jesus provided a marvelous foreview of what he will do for mankind during his Millennial Reign.)

2 Cor. 4:13, 16: “We too exercise faith . . . Therefore we do not give up, but even if the man we are outside [our physical body] is wasting away, certainly the man we are inside is being renewed [or given fresh strength] from day to day.” (We may be wasting away in a physical sense. But spiritually we are being renewed as we continue to feed on God’s precious promises.)

Ps. 34:18: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.”

Your friend could speak healing into her self by repeating Gods word over and over and believing with all her heart and soul and she could get a miracle from her doctor in a couple days the test could show that the tumor on her leg has gone. verses like I'm healed,I've been blessed by the hand of God,I'm a new creature,I'm healthy,I have favor in God I'm anointed,and read Matthew 10:7,8 Romans 4:7.

Every verse means something different to each person, so personally I don't think I can give you a specific verse. Although my favorite is 1 Tim 4:12. As for your friend, I'd recommend the book of pslams. There are a lot of good verses in there and most are comforting prayers.

Father in Jesus' name I pray for this lady. Lord Jesus I ask You to minister Your Peace that passes all understanding to her. I thank You that You paid the price for her healing with stripes on Your back. You love this lady and desire to bless and encourage her. Pour Fresh Anointing into her life and set her free now. I pray for Your Grace to be revealed to her. Lift her up and comfort her by Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
