One is a Shih Tzu (I think) and the other is a Welsh Corgi (I think) and they don't seem to like each other at all. They don't play even though I've tried to get them to. They've growled at each other in the past and I don't think they would give a rats butt if one of them dissapeared. What is wrong with them?? I thought dogs were social animals.

The Shih Tzu is a male and has been fixed (he still tries to get some though) and the Corgi is a female not fixed yet. They haven't done the who's dominant neck thing in at least a year. I don't know who won anyway.

They can take a dislike to each other just like people do sometimes. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do in that case.
They are fixed right? If not do so immediately. It could be raging hormones that keep them from being friends.
Feed them in seperate rooms, pet them when the other is away from you.
See if that works, if not, you may have to give one away.

Dogs are social animls. Did you get both dogs at the same time? Are they males or females? It could be that both dogs are dominant, and therefore will take a while to figure out the hierarchy between the two of them. Do either of them ever try to put their paw or head on the other dog's neck or back? Also, two males or two females generally don't get along, especially if they are not fixed. So if they're not fixed i advice you do so immediately.

They are a social animal, but 2 males or 2 females, do not get along or play well together. Especially if they are not Spayed or Neutered.
